Regrettably, due to infrastructure and security cost increases in recent years, we have had to increase prices on some web/email hosting plans from 1st November 2024.
Additionally, due to recent price changes by the .IE domain registry and a number of other top-level registries, some domain pricing will increase from the same date.
This is not a decision we took lightly, and is our first hosting price increase in more than six years. We were able to hold off increasing prices throughout our migration from legacy systems to our newer LiteSpeed platform. Over the past number of years, we've increased the capability and resources on our shared hosting plans, introduced AnyCast DNS on domains, and added new control panels with enhanced support and management for WordPress sites.
The email/hosting increase will average around 15% - this is compared to CPI inflation of ~20% and power and data center cost rises of more than 25% over the same period,
For resellers and customers with volume discounts, the prices will increase commensurately.

In many cases, customers can avail of better pricing by opting to renew for longer periods of time. For example, in the case of domain names, for popular domains like .ie or .com etc there is discounted renewal pricing available for periods of three years or longer. In the case of web hosting and email services, annual renewal gives 12 months for the price of 10 (16% discount), with additional discounts for periods of 2 or 3 years.
